KDE supports the "Keep Android Open" campaign

#Google will cut off independent developers to #Android if they do not register with Google first. This will kill independent platforms like @fdroidorg and severely impede FLOSS devs from creating apps for Android.

The logo of the "Keep Android Open" campaign is an Android robot dressed as Darth Vader. Across the top it says "I AM ALTERING THE DEAL" in all caps, and below the robot it says "Pray I don't alter it further". This is a reference to how Android acquired a massive catalog of apps be making access open to the platform back in the day, and Google assuring it would remain open, as opposed to the iOS platform which was (and still is) very restricted. And, of course, Star Wars.

Not sure where #Google asked for feedback about their developer verification program, but they surely didn't talk with #FLOSS devs, civil society, privacy organisations or their #Android users

#FDroid did since September, and interacted with folks in the Fediverse, forum, email and in person

They all voiced one opinion: "developer verification must be stopped"

Existen salas públicas y privadas a las que uno puede unirse o crearlas si no existen. Hoy en día se pueden hacer hasta llamadas de audio y video , compartir imágenes , ubicación ... etc. Nuestro servidor al igual que Mastodon Uruguay, y todos los servicios de Undernet, están integramente alojados en Uruguay en forma autogestionada e independiente 🇺🇾 y tiene en total unas 300 cuentas registradas en los dos dominios que administramos que son @undernet.uy y @buzon.uy de las cuales se conectan diariamente unas 70+ . El servidor esta conectado con otros 600 servidores XMPP. Si no lo probaste, podes bajarte un cliente como Conversations, Monocles, Xabber para android, Snikket para iPhone o Gajim y Dino para Lunux e incluso clientes para terminal y registrar una cuenta en nuestro servidor u otros.
